Description
This Japanese green tea is a special variety hard to find even in Japan. It is a genmaicha tea, which in itself is not particularly uncommon, but it’s kabusecha genmaicha – a tea utilizing one of Japan’s most premium tea leaves.
Genmaicha is a popular Japanese green tea that allows you to enjoy the iconic flavor of tea with the nutty addition of roasted brown rice. Although most genmaicha are made with standard Japanese green teas, this genmaicha is made with kabusecha.
Kabusecha tea is a premium, mild Japanese green tea. It is produced by protecting young tea leaves from the harsh sun, by covering the plants with porous sheets. This process makes kabusecha one of Japan’s three most premium teas, alongside gyokuro and matcha.
Kabusecha has a naturally sweet flavor, and is far less bitter than most other Japanese green teas, meaning it complements the brown rice perfectly as a comforting cup.

Instructions
Steep your tea bag in a cup of 80 degree celsius water for around one minute, and drink while still warm.
